Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Thérèse Lafrance le mardi 23 février 2016 à l'Hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls à l'âge de 88 ans. Elle fut membre des Filles d'Isabelle, le Club de l'Age d'Or et l'U.C.F.O. Elle aimait bricoler et faire de l'artisanat. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, François (Lucille) de Campbell River, Roger (feue Suzanne), Suzanne Lambert (François) de Smooth Rock Falls, Paul de Toronto, Gaëtan (Nathalie) de Sudbury, Françoise Pluym (Vern) de Port Alberny, Marie-Anne Casey (Pat) de Lethbridge, Huguette Grenier (Donald) de Chetwynd et Juliette Henderson (Barry) de Winnipeg, ainsi que 21 petits-enfants, 26 arrière-petits-enfants et 2 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Olivier, un fils, Pierre, ses frères et soeur, Roland Bernard, Marcel Bernard, Viateur Bernard, Gérard Bernard et Bernadette Comeau. Thérèse Lafrance reposera à la salle paroissiale Ste-Gertrude, le dimanche 28 février de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le lundi 29 février en l'église Ste-Gertrude à 11h00 avec le Père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. L'Inhumation printanière suivra au cimetière de Smooth Rock Falls. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des messes. La famille remercie les Docteurs Lebel et Turineck, les infirmières et tous les employés de l’hôpital, notamment dans la cuisine et l’entretien ménager. Nous sommes très reconnaissants de la patience, le dévouement et la compassion dont vous avez fait preuve. ©

We regret to announce the death of Thérèse Lafrance on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital at the age of 88. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Golden Age Club and l'U.C.F.O. She enjoyed making arts and crafts. She is survived by her children, François (Lucille) of Campbell River, Roger (late Suzanne), Suzanne Lambert (François) of Smooth Rock Falls, Paul of Toronto, Gaetan (Nathalie) of Sudbury, Françoise Pluym (Vern) of Port Alberny, Marie-Anne Casey (Pat) of Lethbridge, Huguette Grenier (Donald) of Chetwind and Juliette Henderson (Barry) of Winnipeg, as well as 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Olivier, one son, Pierre, her siblings, Roland Bernard, Marcel Bernard, Viateur Bernard, Gérard Bernard and Bernadette Comeau. Thérèse Lafrance will be resting at the Ste-Gertrude parish hall on Sunday, February 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 29th at Ste-Gertrude church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Spring burial to follow at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, masse offerings would be greatly appreciated. The family is grateful to Doctors Lebel and Turinek, as well as the nursing staff, and all employees, especially in the kitchen and housekeeping services.
