Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Vital Desbiens le samedi 26 septembre 2015 à Extendicare Kapuskasing à l'âge de 87 ans. Il a travaillé comme un plongeur et un barman. Comme passe-temps, Vital aimait faire de la pêche, la chasse, et jouer aux quilles. Il était un amateur de hockey et de baseball, et aimait supporter les sports locaux. Il était aussi un membre des Chevaliers de Colomb.
Il laisse dans le deuil un fils, Gary époux de Mona de Kingston; trois petites-filles: Stéphanie amie de Guillaume d'Ottawa, Mikala amie de Jordan de Kingston, et Alissa amie de Benjamin de Kingston; la mère de son fils, Lucienne Desbiens; ainsi qu'un frère, Raymond époux de Myrtle de Norwood, et une soeur, Blanche Beaulieu épouse de Jean de Harty. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Albert et Irène Desbiens; cinq frères, Raoul, Gabriel, Paul-Émile, Ernest, et Donat; et trois soeurs: Juliette, Rose, et Jeannette.
La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 3 octobre, en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 10h30 avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation canadienne du rein. ©

We regret to announce the death of Vital Desbiens on September 26, 2015 at Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 87 years. He was a tender/diver and bartender for most of his career. In his spare time, Vital enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He was an avid hockey and baseball fan, and was a great supporter of local sports. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his son, Gary husband of Mona of Kingston; three granddaughters: Stéphanie friend of Guillaume of Ottawa, Mikala friend of Jordan of Kingston, and Alissa friend of Benjamin of Kingston; the mother of his son, Lucienne Desbiens; as well as one brother, Raymond husband of Myrtle of Norwood, and one sister, Blanche Beaulieu wife of Jean of Harty. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Irène Desbiens; five brothers: Raoul, Gabriel, Paul-Émile, Ernest, and Donat; and three sisters: Juliette, Rose, and Jeannette.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating.
