Obituary for Vivian Mawhinney

Vivian Mawhinney
Vivian Hudson Mawhinney, born July 1925 in Country Harbour, NS, passed quietly on September 27, 2019 at the North Centennial Manor.

She was predeceased by her parents: Arthur and Annie Hudson; her siblings, Dorothy Holland and Chalmers Hudson; and long-time partner: Lou Lamoureux. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Browning; one sister-in-law, Irene Hudson; as well as by many nieces and nephews. Left to mourn is her niece Cheryl Holland (Doug) and their sons Elliot and Sam; as well as her dear friend Diane Rouleau.

Vivian was raised in Timmins and moved west at a young age. She settled and worked in Winnipeg and in retirement moved to Kapuskasing to be closer to her sister Dorothy. In her spare time, Viv loved to drive, watch baseball and play Bingo. She will eb be missed for her feisty spirit and laugh. Thank you to her family at the North Centennial Manor who cared for Viv these past 7 years.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4th at 11:30 a.m. at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
