Our tall proud oak has fallen;

Firm, strong roots left to his children.

A lifetime of family occasions, celebrations, creations;

Forever imbedded by our union.

He pursued his outdoorsmanship with a fever pitch; his free will.

Many he brought along to join his adventures on his Griffin hill.

Memories and impressions imprinted in our hearts,

Remembering whilst laughing and crying in fits and starts.

Daddy was a natural born teacher,

Molding, creating, guiding; just his nature.

He built, he designed, he led by example,

His body or work plenty and ample.

Thank you, Dad, for shaping us individually,

We have all led our lives fully and independently.

We strive for better every day,

Because you taught us to never stray.

We celebrate who you are inside of all of us and always will be;

Your wife, your children, friends and family.

I’ll miss hugging you most of all,

You were my rock big Daddy, strong and tall.
