In loving memory of Corinne Chouinard who passed away in her 97th year on Thursday, September 29 at the North Centennial Manor. She will be sadly missed by her children, Claudette Murdoch (Jerry) of Sault Ste. Marie, Denyse Davis (Shane) of Welland, Normand Chouinard (Barb), Lucille Smyth (Peter) of Ottawa and Paul Chouinard (Peggy) of Moonbeam, one brother, Lucien Bujold of New Brunswick, her grandchildren, Jeremy, Laura, Erin, Misty, Colin, Clinton, Brandi, Cassi, Brianna, Jason, Jessica, Alex, Greg and Andy, as well as 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Anatole, her parents, Pamela Bourdages and Raymond Bujold, her siblings, Clarisse, Céline, Ernest, Roméo, Maurice, Elide, Patrick and Xavier. She was an incredible wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly, they always came first. She will be fondly remembered for her caring ways, her devotion to God and church. She enjoyed gardening (especially her raspberry patch), playing cribbage, reading and was an exemplary seamstress. She taught all of her grandchildren and their spouses how to play cribbage. A special thank you to the staff of the North Centennial Manor for their kindness and care provided to our mother, it was greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Guenette Funeral Home from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service to follow on Monday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s church with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated.

A la douce mémoire de Corinne Chouinard, décédée le jeudi 29 septembre 2016, dans sa 97e année de vie, au Manoir North Centennial. Elle sera regrettée avec grande tristesse par ses enfants, Claudette Murdoch (Jerry) de Sault Ste Marie, Denyse Davis (Shane) de Welland, Normand Chouinard (Barb), Lucille Smyth (Peter) d’Ottawa et Paul Chouinard (Peggy) de Moonbeam; un frère, Lucien Bujold du Nouveau-Brunswick; ses petits-enfants Jeremy, Laura, Erin, Misty, Colin, Clinton, Brandi, Cassi, Brianna, Jason, Jessica, Alex, Greg et Andy, de même que 19 arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Anatole, ses parents Pamela Bourdages et Raymond Bujold, ses frères et sœurs Clarisse, Céline, Ernest, Roméo, Maurice, Élide, Patrick et Xavier. Elle était une épouse, mère et grand-mère qui aimait sa famille de tout cœur, qui passait avant tout. On se souviendra d’elle avec tendresse pour sa compassion, son dévouement envers Dieu et l’église. Elle aimait bien jardiner (surtout son coin de framboises), jouer au cribbage et faire de la lecture, en plus d’être une couturière exemplaire. Elle a enseigné à tous ses petits-enfants et leurs conjoints comment jouer au cribbage. La famille exprime des remerciements particuliers et sa grande reconnaissance au personnel du Manoir North Centennial pour leur gentillesse et les soins prodigués à leur mère. Les visites auront lieu au Salon funéraire Guenette le dimanche 2 octobre de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. Le service funéraire aura lieu le lundi 3 octobre à 10h30 en l’église St Patrick s avec le père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons au Manoir North Centennial comme témoignage de sympathie.
