Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Jean-Marc Savard le dimanche 31 juillet 2016 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à Kapuskasing à l'âge de 82 ans. Comme passe-temps, Jean-Marc aimait cueillir les bleuets et les fraises, nourrir les oiseaux, et réaliser des projets de construction.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe, Ida Lanteigne; deux fils: Joël Savard de St-Prime, PQ, et Donald Savard de Montréal, PQ; un beau-fils: Denis Lanteigne (Joan) de Manitouwadge; quatre petits-enfants: Dylan, Selina, Cody et Tessa; un frère: Gérard de Chicoutimi; deux soeurs: Gaby Hilton, et Monique Mawhinney (Ron) tous de Hanover; trois beaux-frères: Armand Chainey (Evelyne), Raymond Chainey, et Fred McLaughlin; deux belles-sœurs: Gertrude Lapierre, et Cécile Chainey ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents: Yvonne Belley et Henri Savard; un frère, Claude et une soeur, Fernande Lavallée.

La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 4 août, en l'église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires à 11h00 avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. L'inhumation des cendres suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer. ©


We regret to announce the death of Jean-Marc Savard on July 31, 2016 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 82 years. In his spare time, Jean-Marc enjoyed picking blueberries and strawberries, feeding his birds, and work on projects.

He will be greatly missed by his spouse, Ida Lanteigne; two sons: Joël of St-Prime, PQ, and Donald Savard of Montréal, PQ; one step-son: Denis Lanteigne (Joan) of Manitouwadge; four grandchildren: Dylan, Selina, Cody and Tessa; one brother: Gérard of Chicoutimi; two sisters: Gaby Hilton, and Monique Mawhinney (Ron) both of Hanover; three brothers-in-law: Armand Chainey (Evelyne), Raymond Chainey, and Fred McLaughlin; two sisters-in-law: Gertrude Lapierre, and Cécile Chainey; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents: Yvonne Belley and Henri Savard; one brother, Claude and one sister, Fernande Lavallée.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4th at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©
