It is with profound sadness that we announce the accidental death of Nicole and Jody Blais on Monday, March 11, 2019. They were high school sweethearts who created a wonderful life through hard work and perseverance. They are survived by their boys: Steve of Kapuskasing and Éric of Woodlawn; their parents: Hélène Viau of Kapuskasing, Roméo Linteau, Anne Olivier of Niagara Falls, and Marthe and Robert Blais of Kapuskasing; their siblings: Brenda Plamondon (Michel) of Kapuskasing, Mario Linteau, Michel Blais (Sylvie) of Orillia, James Blais (Ulla) of Cambridge, Charlene Blais (Roger) of Orléans and Kevin Blais (Vanessa) of Kapuskasing; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Nicole was predeceased by her step-father, Placide Viau and step-brother, Marc Viau.
Nicole and Jody Blais will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, March 22 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculée-Conception church with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital for the purchase of the CT Scan, the North Centennial Manor Family Council or their niece’s Education Fund (cheques only payable to: Carole & Tania Lallier in Trust for Destiny) would be greatly appreciated. ©


C’est avec grande tristesse que nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès accidentel de Nicole et Jody Blais, le lundi 11 mars 2019. C’était un couple qui partageait leur amour depuis leurs années au secondaire. Nicole et Jody formaient un couple formidable : ils fonçaient dans la vie, persévéraient et travaillaient très fort pour réussir. Ils laissent dans le deuil leurs garçons: Steve de Kapuskasing et Éric de Woodlawn; leurs parents: Hélène Viau de Kapuskasing, Roméo Linteau, Anne Olivier de Niagara Falls, et Marthe et Robert Blais de Kapuskasing, leurs frères et sœurs : Brenda Plamondon (Michel) de Kapuskasing, Mario Linteau, Michel Blais (Sylvie) d’Orillia, James Blais (Ulla) de Cambridge, Charlene Blais (Roger) d’Orléans et Kevin Blais (Vanessa) de Kapuskasing; ainsi que nombreux neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Nicole fut prédécédée par son beau-père, Placide Viau et son demi-frère, Marc Viau.
Nicole et Jody Blais reposeront au Salon Funéraire Guenette le vendredi 22 mars de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 23 mars à 10h30 en l'église Immaculée-Conception avec le Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner pour l’achat d’un tomodensitomètre, le Manoir North Centennial - conseil familial ou le Fond d’éducation de leur nièce (chèques seulement, payable à : Carole et Tania Lallier en fiducie Destiny). ©
