La famille regrette d’annoncer le décès de Robert (Bob) Laberge le 6 janvier 2014 à Kapuskasing. Âgé de 83 ans, il vécut dans la communauté depuis 1965. Père de Gérald (Nola), Linda (Jim), Pat (Jamie), Pauline (Guy), Donald et Denis (Jackie) et pépère ou grand-pépère à plusieurs petits-enfants (époux et épouses) et arrière-petits-enfants. De plus, Bob sera manqué par ses neveux et nièces ainsi que ses belles-soeurs, beaux-frères et beaucoup d'amis. Il laisse dans le deuil sa compagne chérie Vivianne Richard de Hearst ainsi que toute sa famille. Il laisse aussi un frère (Albert et Susan). Bob fut précédé dans la mort par sa femme Gertrude (1988) ainsi que 3 frères.
Bob a travaillé en tant que gérant de l'aéroport à Pagwa, Earlton et Kap. Il a adoré voyager avec sa famille à travers le Canada, les États-Unis, l'Europe. Son dernier grand voyage fut en Afrique avec sa fille. Chaque année, il faisait son pèlerinage avec Vivianne pour visiter les enfants, la famille et les amis éparpillés un peu partout. Grand amateur et pilote d'avion, dans les années 1970-80, avec des amis Bob a construit son avion dont il était très fier. Grand « bretteux », on le retrouvait souvent dans son garage en train de réparer ou confectionner ce dont il avait besoin.
La famille accueillera les parents et ami(e)s le vendredi 10 janvier 2014 de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h au salon funéraire Guénette à Kapuskasing. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 11 janvier 2014 à 14h à l’église Immaculée-Conception.
Des dons à l'hôpital Sensenbrenner de Kapuskasing, au manoir de Kapuskasing, à l'Association des amputés de guerre ou une charité de votre choix seront grandement appréciés.


The family regrets to announce the death of Robert (Bob) Laberge January 6 in Kapuskasing. 83 years old, he lived in the community since 1965. Father of Gérald (Nola), Linda (Jim), Pat (Jamie), Pauline (Guy), Donald and Denis (Jackie), Pepère and grand-pepère to many grand-children (and spouses) and great grand children. In addition, Bob will be missed by his nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law and many friends. He is survived by his cherished companion Vivianne Richard of Hearst and her family. Bob also leaves a brother (Albert and Susan). He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude (1988), and three brothers.
Bob worked as airport manager in Pagwa, Earlton and Kap. He loved traveling with his family throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. His last big trip was to Africa with his daughter. Each year, he and Vivianne made the pilgrimage to visit children, family and friends spread far and wide. Flying enthusiast and pilot, in the 1970's and 80's, with the help of friends Bob was very proud to have built his own airplane. Master "jack -of-many-trades" Bob was often found in his garage repairing or making what he needed.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, January 10th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm at Guénette Funeral Home in Kapuskasing. The funeral will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2014 at 2pm at Église Immaculée-Conception.
