Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Arsenault can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de William Arsenault le lundi 31 mars au Manoir North Centennial à l'âge de 93 ans. Il était un vétéran de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale et membre de la Légion royale canadienne. Il aimait la chasse, la pêche et jouer de la guitare. Il laisse dans le deuil six beaux-enfants, Roger Pilon de Kitwanga, C.B., Raymond Doyon (Noëlla) de Macamic, Claudette Brooks (Antoine) de Kapuskasing, Mariette Moreau (Edmond) de Montréal, Gisèle Michaud (Roger) de Welland et Dorothy Glynn de Renfrew, une belle-fille, Rose Arsenault de Crystal Beach, une soeur, Rita McLeod de Kapuskasing, plusieurs petits-enfants, arrière-petits-enfants et arrière-arrière-petits-enfants. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse Jeanne, deux beaux-fils, Jean-Guy Doyon et Gaëtan Arsenault, une belle-fille, Ghislaine Pilon, six frères, Philias, Joseph, Hervé, Antoine, Edmond et Malcolm Arsenault, cinq soeurs, Zelda Anchuruck, Elizabeth Demeule, Madeleine Geno, Lina Prepp et Jeannette Sapinski. William Arsenault reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le jeudi 3 avril de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h00. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le vendredi 4 avril en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 10h30 avec le Père Gilles Gosselin comme célébrant. L'inhumation printanière suivra au cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Manoir North Centennial. ©

We regret to announce the death of William Arsenault on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the North Centennial Manor at the age of 93. He was a World War 2 veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar. He is survived by six step-children, Roger Pilon of Kitwanga, B.C., Raymond Doyon (Noëlla) of Macamic, Claudette Brooks (Antoine) of Kapuskasing, Mariette Moreau (Edmond) of Montreal, Gisèle Michaud (Roger) of Welland and Dorothy Glynn of Renfrew, one daughter-in-law, Rose Arsenault of Crystal Beach, one sister, Rita McLeod of Kapuskasing, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne, three step-children, Jean-Guy Doyon, Gaëtan Arsenault and Ghislaine Pilon, six brothers, Philias, Joseph, Hervé, Antoine, Edmond and Malcolm Arsenault, five sisters, Zelda Anchuruck, Elizabeth Demeule, Madeleine Geno, Lina Prepp and Jeannette Sapinski. William Arsenault will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday, April 3rd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4th at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Spring burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
