We regret to announce the death of Gérard Roy on Thursday, January 11 at the age of 62 years. He was predeceased by his father, Odina and by his mother, Jeanne (Roy) Lemieux. He is survived by his wife Diane; his son Ricky of Edmonton; his daughter Lisa fiancé of Stephen Surcon of Timmins; three sisters Lucille Belley, Claudette Poolton both of Sault Ste Marie and Evelyn Samson of Quebec City; two brothers: Guimond and Rémi both of Kapuskasing; as well as two grandchildren: Sébastien and Patrick. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculée Conception church with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
