Abel Bourgeois
We regret to announce the death of Abel Bourgeois on January 21, 2011 at the age of 77 years. He was a welder by trade and enjoyed building things, which often meant he would make something out of nothing. He was also an avid fisherman and a member of La Forge and the Old Age Clubs in Kapuskasing and Val-Rita, He is survived by his wife, Georgette of Val-Rita; his children: Nicole Wojtalik wife of Waldemar "Curly" of Pass Lake, Pierre Bourgeois husband of Karen Redden of Kenora and Jacqueline Bourgeois wife of Mark Tarnopolsky of Hamilton; seven grandchildren: Sonia, Kevin, Jordan, Cleo, Stephanie, Alanna and Milla; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Isabelle and Hailey; one brother: Robert Bourgeois husband of Shirley of Walkerton; two sisters: Hermine Gervais wife of Jacques of Sudbury and Germaine Lalonde wife of Regent of Kingston; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: Claude and Gabriel Bourgeois, and one nephew Luke. Abel Bourgeois will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Father Louis-Philippe Bélanger officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be greatly appreciated.
