Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alexander Poleyko can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Alexander Poleyko

Alexander  Poleyko
We regret to announce the death of Alexander Poleyko on May 24, 2014 at North Centennial Manor at the age of 83 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with leather, gardening, camping and spending time at the cottage at the lake. He was also a past member of the Kinsmen Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife Eelin; his children: Kim Poleyko Towne wife of Tom Towne of Kapuskasing, Robert of Orangeville, David of Brampton and Kerrie spouse of Graeme McCarrel of Brampton; eleven grandchildren: Hilary McGillivray wife of Jamie, Alan Towne husband of Danielle, Lauren Towne, Kate Towne, Ellis Poleyko, Shayne Poleyko, Nicholas Lalande, Holly Lalande, Mackenzie Lalande, Sydney McCarrel and Ryley McCarrel; two great-grandsons: Spencer and Evan McGillivray; as well as many relatives in Belarus and Israel. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Anna Poleyko.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
