We regret to announce the death of Aline Malvina Génier on Thursday September 15, 2011 at Sensenbrenner Hospital Kapuskasing at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband Wilfrid Aurelien (Pete) Genier of Kapuskasing,1 daughter: Donna McGrath wife of Michael of Kitchener; 1 granddaughter: Mackenzee; 5 sisters: Muriel Burton, Diane Wills, Nicole Marin, Anita Elliot, Annette Todd; 3 brothers: Yvon Girard, Raymond Girard and Jean-Louis Girard. She was predeceased by 1 sister Lise Rousson. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and watching the Young and the Restless. Aline Génier will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the St. Patrick's Church in Kapuskasing at 10:30 AM with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Cremation will follow at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
