Obituary for
Alonzo LeClair
We regret to announce the death of Alonzo (Ti-Pit) LeClair on Sunday January 30, 2011 at North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his wife Jeannine LeClair of Kapuskasing, 1 son, Marcel LeClair (Penny Armitage) of Thunder Bay, 1 daughter, Carole LeClair (Maurice Dagenais) of Kapuskasing,2 grandchildren, Gislain (Jaimie) and Joey (Michelle)and 1 great grandson, Myles. He is also survived by 1 brother, Rolland LeClair of Belleville, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Jean and Melanie LeClair, his brothers, Donat, Rene, Hebert, Alphonse, Gerard, and sisters, Edna and Claudia. Alonzo was born on June 14, 1927 in Dundee, New Brunswick and moved to Kapuskasing in 1944 to work for Spruce Falls. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and was a member of La Forge. He will be lovingly remembered for his beautiful smile and the sparkle in his eyes. Alonzo LeClair will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday February 2 nd from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3rd at Immaculée Conception Church in Kapuskasing at 2:00 PM with Father Jean-Paul Décarie officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association or the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated.
