We regret to announce the death of Armande Carrière on Monday, June 12, 2006 at Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 79 years. She is survived by three daughters, Sally Vallière (André) of Oshawa, Rollande Dumaresq and Lorraine Peters (Patrick) all of Kapuskasing, one son, Jean-Guy Carrière (Suzanne) of Kapuskasing, two sisters, Clémence Guerin of Gatineau, Madeleine Jodouin of Timmins, one brother, Ludger Carrière of Kapuskasing, as well as eight grandchildren, Brenda, Sandra, Linda, Richard, Dave, Roxanne, Bryan and Jake, five great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Crystal, Dylan, Justin and Cole. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, one sister, Gaëtanne Prévost, two brothers, Armand and Fernand Carrière, one great-grandson, Carter. The funeral service was held on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the Notre Dame des Victoires church, Kapuskasing, with Father Robert Tremblay officiating. Cremation followed at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
