Obituary for Aurore Bergeron

Aurore Bergeron

"It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Aurore Bergeron on July 8, 2013 at the age of 81. Aurore and Joe Bergeron were the previous owners of one of the town’s original convenient stores, Joe’s Smoke Shop/Circle Smoke Shop, one that is still thriving to this day as Circle Convenience. After 27 years of public service she became a town fixture. A courageous and loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a strong woman of faith, never forgot her roots and all of the loving memories of her hometown.

She is survived by three daughters: Sylvie Gil Alfau wife of Peter of Orangeville, Michelle Ellis wife of Robert of Kingston and Joanne Bergeron of Brampton; one son, Alain Bergeron of Brampton; four grandchildren: Danielle Keyes (Dave), Andrew Ellis (Lindsay) all of Kingston, Lucas and William Bergeron all of Brampton; two great-grandchildren: William Keyes and Hudson Ellis; as well as two sisters: Irène Gravel of Smooth Rock Falls and Raymonde Lavoie of North Bay. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; one daughter: Hélène; one sister: Clara Gravel; and 5 brothers: André, Léonard, Hazen, Jean-Alphonse and Louis Hachey.

Visitation will be held on Mondat, July 15th from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 16th at the Immaculée-Conception church with Father Jean-Paul Décarie officiation. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your condolences, prayers and generosity during this time of sorrow. Michelle Ellis, Joanne and Alain Bergeron and Sylvie GilAlfau.
