The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the age of 86 years.
Beloved husband of the late Yvonne Beauvais (nee Lacroix) (1969) and Special Friend of Mary Paul. Loving father of Joanne Vallée (Michel) and Marc Jolie (Nancy) both of Timmins. Dear stepfather of Alice, Jean-Yves, Denise, Yollande, Lilianne, Diane, Claude, Nicole, and Rejean. He will be sadly missed by his grandsons Mathieu Vallée and Jonathan Gryska. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Clarice Jolie, his sisters Stella Viau, Levina Genest and Valerie L’Ecuyer and his brothers Hermas, Alcide, Clément, Robert and Marcel. Bernard was born in Midland, Ontario and as a young child his family relocated to Kapuskasing. Later as a young man, Bernard volunteered for the army and served for his country in World War II. Bernard will be fondly remembered as a great father and a loving grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
