We regret to announce the death of Cécile Rossi-Girardin on Sunday, December 24 at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her first husband Giacomo Rossi; her second husband Léon Girardin; one son, Brian; her parents; and two brothers: Fernand and Léandre Cheff. She is survived by her children: George husband of Carmen, Laura Côté wife of Yvan, Dennis husband of Jeannette, Paulette Powers wife of Reid all of Kapuskasing, Jacqueline Tremblay wife of Maurice of Courtice, Richard husband of Marcelle and Nancy Rossi friend of Yvon Bordeleau all of St. Catherines; three brothers: Rhéal, Rodolphe and Romual Cheff all of Cochrane; ten sisters: Jeannette Wood of Mississauga, Beatrice Lizotte of Sudbury, Marie Clermont of Richmond HIll, Rose Anna Dupuis of Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Thérèse Christo of New Liskeard, Georgette Génier, Gilberte Aumont all of Cochrane, Fernande Génier of Garson, Paulette Cloutier of Geraldton and Suzanne Robinson of Matheson; as well as 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Cécile Rossi-Girardin was held on Thursday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St-Patrick's church with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
