We regret to announce the death of Clara Gravel on April 23, 2011 at Sudbury Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her husband: Jean-Paul Gravel of Fauquier; 2 sons: Gilles Gravel husband of Brenda of Kapuskasing, Dr. Michel Gravel of Fauquier; 3 grandchildren: Paul (Nancy Audette) of Kapuskasing,Sarah (Joey DePinto) of Timmins, Michael (Melissa Wedge) of Ottawa; 1 great granddaughter: Chelsey, 3 sisters: Aurore Bergeron of Orangeville, Irène Gravel of Smooth Rock Falls and Raymonde Lavoie of North Bay. She was predeceased by 5 brothers: André, Léonard, Hazen, Jean-Alphonse and Louis Hachey. She was a member of U.C.F.O., daughters of Isabella of Smooth Rock Falls and she enjoyed cooking, gardening and knitting. Clara Gravel will be resting at the Fauquier Community Center on Monday April 25 2011 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at Ste-Agnès Church in Fauquier at 2:30 PM with Father Jean-Guy Mailloux officiating. Cremation will follow at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
