We regret to announce the death of Dan Simis on November 2, 2011 at the age of 47 years. Dan was a great husband, father and grandfather who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a well known person, who enjoyed telling jokes and working as a forester.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; his daughter, Josée Ouellet fiancé of Pascal Forget of Timmins; two grandchildren; Nathan and Abigail; his mother, Helen Simis of Toronto; one sister: Gail VanMierlo of Toronto; two nieces: Crystal and Chanelle; one aunt, Dean Zaba wife of Allan of Barrie; as well as his best friend, Mike Forrest of Timmins. He was predeceased by his father, Paul.
Dan will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating.
