Passed away on December 22, 2001

Mr. David Broadbent, age 51 years, a resident of Kapuskasing, passed away at the Sensenbrenner hospital following a lengthy illness on Saturday December 22, 2001 at the age of 51 years. He was employed by Spruce Falls for the last 30 years, most of the time as a substation operator up until the time of his illness. In his early years David got the pleasure from playing guitar in a folk band with his buddies. He also enjoyed trapshooting. He spent many hours with his friends at their cabin at Allen Lake. David is survived by his father, Charles Broadbent of Cardston, Alberta, his sister Karen Barabash wife of Gary and niece Nicole Latour of Thunder Bay, his brother Brian husband of Judy and nephews Charles and Michael and niece Jennifer of Beaconsfield, Quebec. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. David was predeceased by his mother Viola Broadbent in 1994 and niece Lori Latour in 1975. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
