We regret to announce the death of Diane Fontaine on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Timmins & District Hospital Timmins at the age of 72. Born June 17, 1938 in St-Magloire, Quebec, she was a homemaker and enjoyed having coffee with her friends at McDonald's. She is described as a very creative person who enjoyed decorating and also had a passion for shopping. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio, one son, Robert, one grandson, Derrick Turgeon, four brothers, Marcel, Roland, Roméo and René, three sisters, Madeleine, Louisette and Alma. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Côté wife of Jacques of Timmins and Guylaine Fontaine of Kapuskasing, two granddaughters, Kimberlee-Ann Côté of Timmins and Tammy Turgeon of Ottawa, one sister, Cécile Marceau of Montreal, four brothers, Émile Marceau of St-Camille, Maurice Marceau of Montreal, Lucien Marceau of St-Magloire and Fernand Marceau of Quebec city. Diane Fontaine will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, October 8 beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 3:30 p.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
