After a courageous battle with cancer, Doris Nakashoji passed away surrounded by her family on March 31st in Sudbury at the age of 62 years. She devoted many years to the Kapuskasing Red Cross Society Homemaker Service. Doris was the devoted wife of 41 years to Bill. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Glen husband of Ginette of Timmins and Rachel wife of Daniel Sivret of Ottawa and was fondly loved by her grandchildren, Alex, Erika, Emma and Sam. She will be missed by her sisters: Norma Hemenway, Ruth Bartlett and Jean Blanchard. She was predeceased by her parents Hector and Anna Blanchard, her brothers: Sonny and Bob Blanchard and one sister Kitty Quirt. Doris Nakashoji will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at St-Patrick's Church at 2:00 p.m. with Father Léo Papineau officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the House of Kin would be greatly appreciated.
