Condolences

Condolence From: Dave Holmes
Condolence: Although we often did not see each other for years, we kept in contact by email and phone, and Ed remained my good friend for over 45 years.

He was a quiet guy, with a quick wit and good sense of humour. I'll miss trading Kap news and jokes with him, and visiting Kap really won't be the same without catching up with Ed.

Next time home, in the Polish tradition I will burn a candle of remembrance at his grave.

Do widzenia, my friend.

Dave

Condolence From: Rudy Koziolek Jr.
Condolence: I am shocked and saddened by this awful news.
Heartfelt sympathies to Mrs.Kowalski, Ashley and my Polish brothers, Ziggy, Roman and Jerzy.
So many happy hours spent together in boyhood days. My fondest memory is of the youngest, full of life, laughter and especially mischief.
Taken far too early, but his gentle spirit will remain in our hearts. Be at peace my friend.

Condolence: We are greatly saddened to learn of Ed's sudden, unexpected passing. We have fond memories of Ed from our Adult Badminton Club days. He was a superb player and fun to play against. Ed's deceptive drop serve that looked short but was not, his "wicked" smash and his trademark diagonal shot right alongside the net made him a challenging opponent and us better Badminton players. We miss those days and we will always cherish these memories we have of Ed.
Our deepest condolences to the Kowalski family during this difficult time.

Condolence: My wife Madeleine and I send our deepest condolences to the Kowalski family . This untimely loss of my good friend Ed was disheartening . I cherish all the memories of spending hours and hours with Ed whether it be tennis , badminton, running , skating or just chillin out with a cold one. Ed was never one for singles competition but just loved to rally and you could see the joy in his face while playing. We used to refer to Ed as the human backboard in tennis as he just kept banging the ball back. We moved quite often around town and Ed was always there to lend a hand when I asked him. It was bonus to have such a strong man helping out. We have moved away from Kap now for a few years and not seeing Ed and Zig is one of the things I really miss. I'm quite certain I will see Ed again when it is my turn to go upstairs but until then I will continue to miss him. This is an especially difficult time for Mrs Kowalski , Ashley, Zig, Roman, and Jerzy and heart goes out to you.

Condolence: My dearest Ed, words can not define the heartfelt pain that I feel knowing that selfishly I won't meet with you again until we both meet our maker. For now,I have the wonderfull memories, time spent together at the tennis courts, sharing our complicated lives, Christmas eve at my house, special dinners at your parents home, sneeking closet cooled red caps from Roman, having to empty the bottles prior to mom going to New York, road kings carnival champs with you between the pipes,OMG, your baby Ashley, your pride and Joy, to Mrs Kowalski, Ziggi, Roman and Jerzy,I love you. Ashley, your father loved you with all his heart, God Bless, Bruce

Condolence From: The Whissell family
Condolence: My heart goes out to the Kowalski family on the sudden loss of Ed. I will miss seing Ed riding by my house with Roman and friends wearing his funny little desert storm hat with the little flap in the back and that huge smile on his face knowing very well that the smile meant that Ed was in his element riding in the wind free as a bird. You certainly could see the joy of life in his face when he was involved with physical activities and being around his family and friends. My sincere sympathy to the whole family and friends of Ed and our thoughts will be with you in these difficult times.

The Whissell family.
