We regret to announce the death of Ernest Jermain on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 77 years. He was member of the Royal Canadian Legion who served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years, including 2 tours in Korea. For the following 25 years he was employed at Canada Post as a letter carrier. He enjoyed watching sports, golfing, playing darts and cards. He survived by his spouse, Dolly Popadynetz, two step-children, Tony Popadynetz husband of Anne-Marie of Mississauga and Kathryn Rayner wife of Thomas of Toronto, three grandchildren, Meaghan, Erin and Jessica as well as one great grandson, Lucas. He was predeceased by his parents, Olive and Frank Jermain, two sisters, Frances Newberry and Helen Stasiuk. A memorial service for Ernest Jermain will be held on Monday, April 19th at the Kapuskasing United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jen Dresser officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion would be greatly appreciated.
