We regret to announce the death of Father Louis-Philippe Bélanger on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Timmins & District Hospital at the age of 75. He is survived by five sisters, Lucienne Bélanger (late Antonio Bélanger) of Amqui, Sr. Jeanne-Marie Bélanger and Sr. Bernadette Bélanger of Rimouski, Madeleine Bélanger (late Gérard Desjardins) of St-Léon-le-Grand and Germaine Bélanger (Paul-Aimé Ross) of Amqui, three brothers, Maurice (Alberte Paquet) of Amqui, Rodrigue (Ginette Daris) of Rimouski and Roch (Jeannine Laporte) of Ste-Mélanie, two sisters-in-law, Odélie Beaulie of St-Lambert and Rose-Aimée Lagacé of Amqui, one brother-in-law, Gaétan Ross of Amqui, as well as fifty one nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Estelle Bélanger and Sr. Noëlla Bélanger, one brother, Lucien Bélanger. Father Louis-Philippe Bélanger will be resting at the Immaculée-Conception church on Thursday, May 31 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral mass will follow on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Vincent Cadieux presiding. Interment to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cité-des Jeunes bursary fund would be greatly appreciated. (payable by cheque only to Bourses-Cité des Jeunes)
