I have so many fond memories of my grandmother that it's hard to pick just one. I remember a grandmother who was there as a second mother to me and my sister. She would take us on vacations because we had no one else to take us. She was so loving and caring to all those she came into contact with. I also remember her long reach. She could reach across the table and give us a swat or a pinch when we needed it but those long arms were also always wide open for a big hug when I needed it as well. I remember being able to call her at 3am at times because I needed a shoulder to cry on and the saying call me at any time was not just words with her. I have not just lost a grandmother, but a mother and best friend also. I love her and miss her so much.
