We regret to announce the death of Florence Brière on Friday February 25th at the Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 98. Family members stated that she will be remembered for her friendly disposition and welcoming manner. As well, many of her recipes have been passed down and will certainly be enjoyed by the younger generation. She is survived by one daughter, Lina Watson of Ottawa, one son, Gaston of Elliot Lake, thirteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Paul, one daughter, Isabelle Brière, one son, Don, one grandson, Paul Brière, two daughters-in-law, Eva Brière and Sally Brière and two sons-in-law, Hector Brideau and Bob Watson. A Memorial Service was held on Monday February 28th at the Immaculée Conception parish at 10:30 am with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
