Florence Nadon

Passed away on January 30, 2000

We regret to announce the death of Florence Nadon on January 30,2000 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 89 years. She was a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Mrs Kapuskasing for the Kapuskasing's 75th anniversary, a founder of the Golden Age Club, member of the hospital board auxiliary, member of the Rebecca Lodge, first lady elected to Kapuskasing town council, member of the EMO (Emergency Measures Organisation) during the war, member of the horticultural society, very prominent in the Liberal organisation,enjoyed politics and sports. Mrs Nadon is pre-deceased by her husband Eugene Francois Nadon. Survived by 2 sons: Jos Nadon (Anne) of Kapuskasing, Eugene Francois Nadon (Sylvana) of London England, 3 daughters: Arlene Fraser (William) of Duncan B.C., Christine Yates (Leslie) of Telwa B.C., June Nadon of Kapuskasing, 2 sisters: Lucie Briscoe of Renfrew, Mardi Rogers of Ottawa, 1 brother: Plaunte Mayhew of Picton, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Funeral service was held on February 2, 2000 at the Kapuskasing United Church with Rev. Doug Richardson officiating. Donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated.
