We regret to announce the death of Françoise Ouellette on Sunday, January 23 at the age of 73 years. She was a foster mother for 20 years and was also a volunteer with the “Louveteaux” and “Castors”. She had a good sense of humour and enjoyed spending time at the Departure Lake Ski-doo Club. She is survived by seven children: Roger husband of Johanne of North Bay, Claude husband of Cynthia of Aberdeen, Washington, Gaëtan husband of Carole Power of Timmins, Jacques husband of Ginette, Daniel husband of Jeanine, Gabriel spouse of Muriel Duguay and Sylvie spouse of Denis Martin all of Hearst; five brothers: Gilles of Smooth Rock Falls, André, Gaëtan both of Toronto, Lucien and Jean Bernard all of Quebec; two sisters: Lucienne Dacunha of Hearst and Noëlla Ouellette of Smooth Rock Falls; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; one daughter, Nicole Picard and two brothers: Réjean and Claude Bernard. Françoise Ouellette will be resting at the Smooth Rock Falls parish hall on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28th at Ste-Gertrude parish at 10:30 a.m with Father Louis-Philippe Bélanger officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Northern Corridor Children's Fund would be greatly appreciated.
