We regret to announce the death of Gaston Isabelle on Wednesday, February 29 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife Gisèle, two sons, Roger (Lise) and Pierre (Nancy) of Kapuskasing, four sisters, Gisèle Fortin (late René) of Hallébourg, Suzanne Vermette (Olivier), Denise Lévesque (Gilbert), Monique Beausoleil (late Antoine) of Kapuskasing, Lise Fortin (Renaud) of Mattice and Alice Isabelle-Sigouin (Raymond) of Opasatika, two brothers, Réal (Claudette) and Raymond (Denise) of Opasatika, two granddaughters, Tania and Mélanie, his in-laws, Marie-Ange Fortier (late Fortunat), three brothers-in-law, Robert Fortier (Jean) of Kanata, Denis Fortier (Lucie) of North Bay and Noël Fortier (Nicole) of Kapuskasing, four sisters-in-law, Laura Isabelle, Colette Isabelle all of Opasatika, Claire Isabelle of Kapuskasing and Solange McBride (Keith) of Sault Ste. Marie. He was predeceased by his parents, Yvonne and Alfred Isabelle, four brothers, Gilles, Roch, Claude and Jean-Guy Isabelle, one sister-in-law, Jacqueline Isabelle. Gaston Isabelle will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday, March 4th from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at the Immaculée-Conception church at 3:00 p.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Cremation to follow at the Hillcrest crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund would be greatly appreciated.
