We regret to announce the death of Helen “Dolly” Swain on June 22, 2010 at the age of 67 years. She was an active member of the Legion Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Leonard; three daughters: Bonnie Belanger of Kapuskasing, Lori-Ann MacNamara wife of Normand of Sault Ste-Marie and Kimberly Swain of Sudbury; one son, Andrew Swain of North Bay; her mother, Erma Goldrup of Kapuskasing; two sisters: Rebecca Ritchie wife of Derrick of Kapuskasing and Sandra Walton of Hamilton; two brothers: Alan Goldrup friend of Phillis Doiron and John Goldrup husband of Barbara both of Kapusaksing; as well as eight grandchildren: Heather, Travis, Jennifer, Jordan, Emily, Renée, Michelle and Miles; and one great-grandson: Austin. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Walton and one brother, James Walton. A funeral service for Helen Swain will be held on Saturday, June 26th in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jen Dresser officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
