We regret to announce the death of Henri Mercier on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Stella of Moonbeam, seven children, Richard husband of Évelyne, Jacques husband of Marielle, Luc, Valérie Mercier-Audet wife of Christopher of Moonbeam, Gaston companion of Lise of Kapuskasing, Carole Lamontagne wife of Yvain and Marie-Josée Chouinard wife of
Donald of Fauquier, two sisters, Thérèse Fortier of Dorion and Clémente Dallaire of Virginiatown, one brother, Maurice of Ste-Germaine-Boulé, one sister-in-law, Aldéa Mercier wife of the late Joseph of Moonbeam, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed picking berries, cutting fire wood, gardening, playing the violin and the harmonica. Henri Mercier will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Nativité-de-Marie church with Father Jean-Guy Mailloux officiating. Burial to follow at the Moonbeam cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund would be greatly appreciated.
