We regret to announce the death of Hilda Sutherland on July 26, 2010 at her residence in Kapuskasing at the age of 78 years. She is survived by 3 daughters: Pauline Stephens wife of Stanley of Calstock, Susan Sutherland of Kapuskasing, Mary-Jane Boudreau wife of Dan of Timmins ; 4 sons: Gaius Napash husband of Joanne of Kapuskasing, Wilfrid Sutherland of Calstock, Clarence Sutherland friend of Brenda of Kapuskasing, Ernest Sutherland husband of Bernadette of Kapuskasing, her extended children: Archie Sutherland of Timmins, Denise Napash of Timmins, Joanne Polson of Hamilton, Sam Sutherland husband of Marianne of Moose Factory, Elizabeth Chevrier of Moose Factory; 1 sister: Daisy O'Connor of Cochrane as well as many many grandchildren and many many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Sutherland, 1 daughter: Elizabeth Nakogee, 1 son: Joseph Napash; 2 sisters: Christine Chum, Ester Sutherland and 3 brothers: Bert Solomon, Alex Solomon, Eilijah Solomon. She enjoyed making native crafts and playing bingo and spend time with her family. Hilda Sutherland will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30th at St-Mark's Anglican at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
