We regret to announce the death of Irene Teresa Walichnowsky on Monday, May 1, 2006 at the age of 45. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Benson of Val Rita; two daughters; Teresa Walichnowsky, wife of Jerry Pawluk and Ashlee Doucet, wife of Kevin Godin all of Kapuskasing; her parents, Louise and Ivan Walichnowsky of Orillia; four sisters, Darlene of British Columbia, Penny-Dawn, wife of Don Giles of Barrie, Tracey wife of Camille Bourgelas of Kapuskasing and Cheryl of Orillia; one brother, John, husband of Christine of Cumberland Beach; as well as two grandchildren, Jasmine and Evan. The funeral service was held on Friday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Anglican church with Reverend Bill Ferrier officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
