Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Jean-Paul Lortie le mercredi 18 mars 2015 à Country Haven Nursing Home à Almonte à l'âge de 83 ans, entouré de ses trois filles. Il aimait le hockey, voyager, la motoneige, navigation de bateau, jouer au golf et travailler le bois. Il nous manquera beaucoup et sera toujours chéri par ses enfants dévoués , Lynn Lortie d'Ottawa, Carole Dallaire épouse de Raymond d'Almonte et Christine Fouchard épouse de Gerry de North Gower, une sœur, Sr. Lise Lortie d'Ottawa et un frère, Léo Lortie époux de Micheline de Leamington, ainsi que quatre petits-enfants, Rachel, Mélanie, Angèle et John, sept arrière-petits-enfants, Catherine, Casandra, Owen, Quinn, Alex, Ethan et Madeline. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Noëlla, ses frères et sœurs, Rita Levesque, Jacqueline Levesque, Rhéa Levesque, Aurore Doiron, Georges Lortie et Albert Lortie. Jean-Paul Lortie reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le vendredi 26 juin de 12h à 14h suivit par le service commémoratif à 14h dans la Chapelle du Salon Funéraire Guenette avec le Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Parents et amis sont invités à se joindre à nous à 16h30 au restaurant Thong-La’s. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur. ©

We regret to announce the death of Jean-Paul Lortie on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Country Haven Nursing Home in Almonte at the age of 83, surrounded by his three daughters. He enjoyed hockey, travelling, boating, snowmobiling, golfing and woodworking. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his devoted daughters, Lynn Lortie of Ottawa, Carole Dallaire (Raymond) of Almonte and Christine Fouchard (Gerry) of North Gower, his sibling, Sr. Lise Lortie of Ottawa and Léo Lortie (Micheline) of Leamington, as well as four grandchildren, Rachel, Mélanie, Angèle and John, seven great-grandchildren, Catherine, Casandra, Owen, Quinn, Alex, Ethan and Madeline. He was predeceased by his wife, Noëlla, his siblings, Rita Levesque, Jacqueline Levesque, Rhéa Levesque, Aurore Doiron, Georges Lortie and Albert Lortie. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Guenette Funeral Home with the memorial service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Friends are invited to join the family at Thong La's restaurant at 4:30 p.m. for a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
