We regret to announce the death of Joseph Melanson on September 22, 2010 at Sensenbrenner Hospital Kapuskasing at the age of 85 years. Joseph Melanson is survived by 2 daughters: Johanne Nadeau wife of Robert, Carole Hamel wife of Al; 1 son: Ray Melanson husband of Francine; his friend Monique Beausoleil all of Kapuskasing; 1 sister: Eva Benson of Timmins; 6 grandchildren: Alain, Joëlle, Cindy, Ricky, Tim, Steve; 7 great grandchildren: Drake, Dylan, Brady, Ashley, Madison, Brody and Keira. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne D'Arc Melanson as well as many brothers and sisters. Joseph Melanson will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday September 24 2010 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday September 25th 2010 at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires at 10:30 AM with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to House of Kin or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
