We regret to announce the death of Laurier Desilets on October 1, 2011 at Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his wife Monique of Kapuskasing; 1 son: Keith husband of Karen of Hamilton; 1 daughter: Kim Johnson wife of Don of Hamilton; 5 grandchildren: Jack, Molly, Angelina, Hunter, Victoria and many more of the heart; 1 sister: Claire Desilets; 7 brothers: Maurice of Windsor, Gaston husband of Marlice, Rolly, Luc, Ron and Dan all of Kapuskasing. He enjoyed playing music and singing as being a member of the Jubilee Singers, the St Patrick’s Church choir, he taught music to many people, was a member of the Kapuskasing Lumberjack Heritage Festival committee, he enjoyed woodworking, and participated in many music festivals. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5th 2011 at the St. Patrick's Church, Kapuskasing at 10:30 AM with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital, Auxiliary Fund or the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund would be greatly appreciated.
