We regret to announce the death of Éliza Turcotte on Monday, February 6 at Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 90. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and enjoyed playing cards and watching television. She is survived by seven children, Raymond husband of Ginette, Florent husband of Murielle, Denise Dufour wife of Gaston, Élise Léonard wife of the late Laurier, Ginette Chartrand wife of Normand, Lucie Lessard wife of Yves of Moonbeam and Suzette Lavoie wife of Jean-Claude of Gatineau, two sisters, Jeanne Bergeron of Sarnia and Rachel Bizier of Orleans, as well as seventeen grandchildren, Mario, Joanne, Michel, Marc, Yves, Bruno, Stéphane, Sylvain, Mona, Annie, Alain, Valérie, Nadine, Roxanne, Bruce, Brian, Mélanie and thirty one great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Élie, one grandson, Éric, four brothers, Léo Marquis, Simon Marquis, Élie Marquis and Jean-Baptiste Marquis, six sisters, Annette Bélanger, Alice Snyder, Céline Filion, Rose Simard, Noëlla Léonard and Rollande Lecours. Éliza Turcotte will be resting at the Nativité-de-Marie parish hall in Moonbeam on Saturday February 25th beginning at 1:00 p.m., funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Father Jean-Guy Mailloux officiating. Spring burial to follow at the Moonbeam cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
