We regret to announce the death of Lorne “Skinner” Forsyth on Friday, September 13, 2013 peacefully at home at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, three children, David (Kim Bedford) of Pickering, Wendy (Jack Bantten) of Kapuskasing and Peter (Natalie Lozier) of Val Rita, three grandchildren, Steven, Ryan and Jessie. He was predeceased by one son, Steven "Sieve". He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He enjoyed playing cards at the Legion with his partner Jack, scratch tickets enabled by Wendy, talking shop with Peter, making work lists for David and Kim's next trip to Kap and Natalie's chicken rice soup. He enjoyed watching game shows and hockey with Ryan and Steven and convincing Jessie (aka to him as Jennie or the young lady) that a handshake goodbye was better than a kiss. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18th from 7 to 9 p.m. Private burial to follow at a later date at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital for the purchase of a new heart monitor for the ER Department would be greatly appreciated. ©
