We regret to announce the death of Mabel Prokopick on September 16, 2010 at the age of 81 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards, and most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Gary, Edward husband of Diane, Sandra Libby wife of Eric, Susan de Montigny wife of Daniel, Andrew husband of Chantale, Shellie Lincez wife of Denis all of Kapuskasing, Daniel husband of Jane of Stratford and Sharon Oehlrich wife of Michael of North Bay; 18 grandchildren: Natasha, Ryan, Travis, Tanis, Jeremy, Michael, Alex, Jennifer, Billy, Jordan, Julia, Justin, Jacob, Alison, Nathan, Kyle, Connor and Madison; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as 2 sisters: Gertrude Sucee of Bowmanville and Patricia Menard of Port Perry. She was predeceased by her husband John; one grandson, Tyler Libby; her parents, Leo and Pearl Laforge; 2 brothers: Gerald and Donald Laforge; and by 2 sisters: Maggie Torok and Dorothy Moses. Mabel Prokopick will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at St-Patrick's at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
