We regret to announce the death of Marcel Gaétan Vaillancourt on February 5, 2013 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 72 years. He was a welder for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working and crafting, however his greatest joy came from his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris; three children: Michel husband of Pegi of Callander, Jeanette Vaillancourt wife of Stéphane Lehoux of Hearst and Caroline Loiselle of North Bay; five grandchildren: Cody, Brianna, Mathieu, McKayla and Colton; as well as six brothers and sisters: Jeannine Vaillancourt wife of Grégoire Bourque of St-Georges, Monique Trivers wife of Terry of Iron Bridge, Donald husband of Louisette of Kapuskasing, Roger husband of Camille of St-Georges, Bertrand of Sherbrooke and Dorothy Vaillancourt wife of Pierre Roy of St-Georges. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jacques Fortin officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©

Il aimait travailler le bois et faire l’artisanat, mais sa plus grande joie était ses petits-enfants. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse de 48 ans, Doris; trois enfants: Michel époux de Pegi de Callander, Jeanette Vaillancourt épouse de Stéphane Lehoux de Hearst et Caroline Loiselle de North Bay; cinq petits-enfants: Cody, Brianna, Mathieu, McKayla et Colton; ainsi que six frères et soeurs: Jeannine Vaillancourt épouse de Grégoire Bourque de St-Georges, Monique Trivers épouse de Terry d’Iron Bridge, Donald époux de Louisette de Kapuskasing, Roger époux de Camille de St-Georges, Bertrand de Sherbrooke et Dorothy Vaillancourt épouse de Pierre Roy de St-Georges. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 9 février à 10h30 en l'église Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption avec Père Jacques Fortin comme célébrant.
