My Auntie Marie was Superwoman. My memories of childhood are flooded by all the ways in which she supported everyone around her. Her calm demeanor, her chuckle, her quiet competence and just being there when we needed refuge, a meal, a break from our own chaotic lives, are all the things I remember best. She was a rock for her own mum and her own brothers and sisters. She quietly loved her husband and children and made a place for everyone else in her life. So many have benefitted from her gifts...but she did everything quietly, with a minimum of fuss and drama. It is with sadness that I receive this news...It is hard to believe that such a Superwoman could be vanquished by death. 

To my and my cousins...I am so sorry...your Mum was such a fixture in the Kosowan family, that I think we all assumed that she would always be there. Know that I am thinking of you all on these sad days. 

To my Uncle Bryan...I am sorry...there really are no words.
