Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Marie Stevenson le lundi 16 avril 2018 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 81 ans. Elle fut ancienne Régente des Filles d'Isabelle. Femme artistique, elle était membre des Tisserandes du Centre de Loisirs pendant plusieurs années; elle enseignait l’art plastique aux enfants au Centre Civique, ainsi que le macramé aux adultes. Elle aimait jardiner, passer du temps au chalet et faire de la voile. Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Ian, ses enfants, Lynne Stevenson et John de Kapuskasing, un frère, Maurice Guèvremont (Claire) d’Ottawa, et une belle-sœur, Carmen Guèvremont de Kapuskasing. Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents, Alphonse et Raymonde Guèvremont, et un frère, Roland Guèvremont. Marie Stevenson reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette, le lundi 23 avril de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le mardi 24 avril en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 13h00 avec le Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. L'inhumation aura lieu à une date ultérieure au cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à Birthright International.

We regret to announce the death of Marie Stevenson on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 81 years. She was a former Regent of the Daughters of Isabella. Among her many artistic interests, Marie was a member of the Tisserandes of the Centre de Loisirs and in years past taught children’s art classes at the Civic Centre and Macramé. She enjoyed gardening, cottage life and sailing. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Ian, her children, Lynne Stevenson and John of Kapuskasing, one brother Maurice Guèvremont (Claire) of Ottawa and one sister-in-law, Carmen Guèvremont of Kapuskasing. She was predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Raymonde Guèvremont, and one brother Roland Guèvremont. Marie Stevenson will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday, April 23 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at the Immaculée-Conception church at 1:00 p.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Her burial at the Kapuskasing Cemetery will be later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Birthright International would be greatly appreciated. ©
