We regret to announce the death of Marion Christensen on Friday September 20, 2013 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital Kapuskasing at the age of 73 years. She is survived by her daughter: Kim Junk wife of Dan Junk of Annaheim, Saskatchewan; 1 son:Andrew Christensen of Kapuskasing; siblings: Barbara Nichol, Tom Olford husband of Joanne, Robert Olford all of Kapuskasing, John Olford husband of Ghislaine of Timmins, Catherine Hopper of Oshawa, Gertrude Olford of Markham; 1 sister-in-law: Maizie Christensen of Geraldton; 3 grandchildren: Braden, Jeremy, Madison, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Christensen, her parents Julia and Bertram Olford, her sister Thelma Olford and her brother Norman Olford. She was a member of Catholic Women's League, volunteered with the Sensenbrenner Hospital ladies auxiliary, loved spending time with her family and was also known for helping people. Marion Christensen will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday September 24, 2013 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM . The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2013 at St. Patrick's Church, Kapuskasing at 10:30 AM with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©

Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Thomas Christensen, ses parents Julia et Bertram Olford, sa soeur Thelma Olford et son frère Norman Olford. Elle était membre de la Catholic Women`s League, bénévole avec les dames auxiliaires de l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner, aimait passer du temps avec sa famille et était reconnue comme une personne qui aidait les gens. Marion Christensen reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le mardi 24 septembre de 19h – 21h. Un service commémoratif aura lieu le mercredi 25 septembre 2013 en l'église St. Patrick à Kapuskasing à 10h30 avec le Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. L'incinération a eu lieu au Hillcrest Crematorium. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Societé canadienne du cancer. ©
