Passed away on June 16, 2001

We regret to announce the death of Maurice Marquis on Saturday June 16 at the age of 53. He is survived by his common law spouse Jeannine Bourgelas of Kapuskasing, his mother Gilberte Marquis of Kapuskasing, two sons; Daniel of Smith Falls and Alain of Moonbeam, one daughter; Sophie Marquis of Moonbeam, one step-son; Daniel Magherit of Kapuskasing, one step-daughter; Nancy Wilson of Kapuskasing, four sisters; Rose Belanger and Lucille Tousignant all of Kapuskasing, Jeannine Marquis of Laval and Gisele Dallaire of Earlton, one brother, Roger of Kapuskasing as well as two grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his father; Samuel. The funeral service was held on Wednesday June 20 at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Guenette Funeral Home with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Cremation followed at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
