We regret to announce the death of Ovila Bernard on Monday, November 8 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital at the age of 72. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Pitre wife of Roger of Marathon, Brigitte Bernard of Kapuskasing and Sandra Robitaille wife of Marc of Harty, six sisters, Orane Tremblay wife of Robert, Laurette Fortier wife of the late Paul, Bella Rodrigue, Diane Beaulieu wife of Maurice, Anne-Marie Pauzé wife of Gaetan and Lorraine Bernard companion of Marcel Blais all of Kapuskasing, two brothers, Harry Bernard and Nelson Bernard husband of Hélène all of Kapuskasing, two brothers-in-law, Raoul Demeule and Denis Potvin, two sisters-in-law, Rita Bernard and Alice Bernard, as well as five grandchildren, Jamie husband of Andriana, Jesse husband of Ashleigh, Mélanie companion of Jason, Tyler and Cody, one great granddaughter, Paige. He was predeceased by three brothers, Léger, Réal and Ronald Bernard and two sisters, Irène Demeule and Lila Potvin. Ovila Bernard will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12th at Immaculée-Conception church at 2:30 p.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundadtion or the Canadian diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
