Life Story for
Philip Acal
We regret to announce the death of Philip Acal on August 31, 2010 at Sunnybrook Veterans Residence in Toronto at the age of 89 years. He was a devoted father and his family meant everything to him. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan, enjoyed cooking and was well known as the local denturist. He is survived by three daughters: Lori wife of Ric Superina of Chicago, Donna wife of Mark Nenadovic of Toronto and Janet wife of Bob Beggs of Sault Ste. Marie; two sons:, Robert and John of Kapuskasing; two sisters: Alice Laham of Wichita, Kansas and Jenny White of Sault Ste. Marie; as well as six grandchildren: Daniel, Laura, Philip, William, Sam and Max. He was predeceased by his wife, Veronica, his parents, Ida and Espir Acal, one sister Louise Assad and one brother David Acal. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sensenbrenner Hospital, North Centennial Manor and Sunnybrook for their care and support. At the family's request, a private memorial service will be held. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor or Sunnybrook Veteran’s Centre would be greatly appreciated.
