We regret to announce the death of Reid Carty on Wednesday, April 5th, at the Sensenbrenner Hospital, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Moonbeam; one daughter, Dawn Buhain wife of Joe of Prior Lake, Minnesota; one son, David Masnyk husband of Terry of Colorado Springs; five sisters, Marjory McNee partner of Gunther of Beaumont, Alberta; Maysie Moreland wife of Alfy, Mona Dodds and Grace Whillans all of Ottwa; Blanche Raven of Coquitlam, B.C.; one brother, Orval Carty of Ottawa; as well as four grandchildren, Nikolaus, Mikaela, Abigail, Emily and a fith grandchild to arrive soon. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Ethel and James Carty; two sisters, Ruby Davidson and Hazel Duncan; three brothers, Bill, Ernie and Gordon Carty. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 8th, at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Gunette Funeral Home with Reverend Brenda Lumsden officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Sensenbrenner Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
