Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de René Bernard le mercredi 13 janvier 2016 à Smokey Falls à l'âge de 70 ans. Il aimait la chasse, la pêche et le camping. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Armande, ses enfants, Sara Simmons (Mario Laberge), Leonard Simmons, Nancy Simmons (Ghislain Hébert), Jacques Bernard (Annie) de Kapuskasing et James Bernard (Jennifer Cunningham) de Barrie, deux soeurs, Alice Levesque de Harty et Suzanne Michel de Thunder Bay, ainsi que dix petits-enfants et deux arrière-petits-enfants. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Alexandre et Margaret Bernard, trois frères, Jacques, Roméo et Léo. René Bernard reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le dimanche 17 janvier de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 19h00 à 21h00. La célébration eucharistique suivra lundi en l'église St-Antoine-de-Padoue à 10h30 avec le Diacre Jean Beausoleil comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer. ©

We regret to announce the death of René Bernard on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Smokey Falls at the age of 70. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife Armande, his children, Sara Simmons (Mario Laberge), Leonard Simmons, Nancy Simmons (Ghislain Hébert), Jacques Bernard (Annie) of Kapuskasing and James Bernard (Jennifer Cunningham) of Barrie, two sisters, Alice Levesque of Harty and Suzanne Michel of Thunder Bay, as well as ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexandre and Margaret Bernard, three brothers, Jacques, Roméo and Léo. René Bernard will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at the St-Antoine-de-Padoue church in Opasatika at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Jean Beausoleil officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©
